Shadow has revealed the launch date for their new hardware, the Shadow Ghost! The Ghost is a dedicated machine for using Shadow’s cloud gaming service and will be available starting February 27th! In addition users on Shadow’s Discord found an early pre-print version of the user manual for the Ghost that you can read here. As far as I could tell nothing new was revealed in the user manual but it was a neat sneak peek none-the-less.
One unique feature of the Ghost is that the power button can be used to toggle the overlay. This isn’t a major feature but still useful, especially when playing games in fullscreen mode. Beyond that, this guide did essentially confirm the hardware specs that already knew about.
- USB 2.0 (x2)
- USB 3.0 (x2)
- HDMI 2.0
- Audio Jack in/out 3.5 mm
As far as the display goes, the Ghost supports up to 4K resolution at 60 FPS or 1080P resolution at 144 FPS. You may have noticed though that the Ghost only has a single display out. Currently, Shadow only supports a single screen but multi-screen support has been mentioned to be in the works.
Are you a Shadow user looking forward to trying out the Ghost? If so, leave your thoughts in the comments below.
