It appears that Walmart is considering entering into the crowded looking cloud gaming market according to sources at usgamer. Little is known at this time but it appears that Walmart is still in the very early stages of this project. At first glance this seems like a weird fit for Walmart but in 2010 they acquired Vudu, a video streaming service.
Cloud gaming is a totally different beast though when compared to video streaming, largely due to the compute and latency requirements. Walmart does operate a datacenter in the Midwest but to operate a cloud gaming platform they would need to heavily expand their datacenter offerings or rent space from one of their potential competitors in the cloud gaming market.
