EricPlayz132 on the Nvidia community forums has discovered a leak into a possible change in the near future for GeForce Now. In a recent update Eric found an error message stating that “You’ve been disconnected because you’ve run out of credits.” It’s important to keep in mind that this is purely a leak and may never see the light of day. It’s common in the development process to work on features that never get released, but this could be a sign of things to come!
Nvidia recently restricted access to untested Steam games which drastically cut down the number of games you could play on the platform. Many recent titles, especially triple-A games are available in the official capacity, but this move did rule out many older or indie titles from Steam’s vast library. This move was likely to ensure stability by restricting the platforms to games that meet Nvidia’s testing standards.
These moves can be seen as steps Nvidia is taking to prepare GeForce Now for release. Could Nvidia make an announcement at E3 this June?
